Hakuba Tokyu Hotel is an 8-minute drive from JR Hakuba Station and a 3-minute drive from Happo-One Bus Terminal. A free 2-way shuttle to both destinations is provided upon prior reservation. The hotel features a public hot-spring bath, aroma therapy services and free parking. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

Guest rooms offer both air conditioning and heating facilities. Each has a fridge, a personal safe and a flat-screen TV. The en suite bathroom comes with toiletries and a bathtub.

The hotel boasts 5 tennis courts on site. Other facilities include ski equipment rental, and bicycle rental. A mini-mart, Il Vento, is available on site.

Free shuttle services are provided to nearby ski resorts, while late-night shuttle services are available to nearby towns between 17:00 and 23:00. For more information, please contact the hotel directly.

The free shuttle is available to the following ski resorts between mid-December and 31 March: Hakuba Happone One Ski Field / Hakuba Goryu Ski Field / Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park / Hakuba Iwatake Ski Field / Hakuba Sanosaka Ski Field / Hakuba Minetaka Ski Field / Tsugaike Ski Field.

Please note that the maximum occupancy of the room includes all children and cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. For extra guests exceeding the room occupancy, guests will be asked to separate rooms and additional charges will apply. Guests may not be accommodated if there is no availability.

Good property a bit far from the center

The hotel is across the street from Rhythm Wadano, which was convenient for renting our skis and was the pick-up point for our day tour to the snow monkeys. The hotel must have been prestigious when it was built, the rooms are very clean and of a very good size with a large bathroom (with a separate room for the toilet), the lobby area is huge and there are 3 restaurants on site (one seems to have closed). The service standards reflect the prestige, too, with gentlemen supervisors making sure that each team abide by their high standards. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice of food of good quality and preparation. The onsen was very clean and had an indoor and outdoor pool.

It is an old property, so some people would find it dated. Because it is very well maintained, I would say it's "vintage". We had a problem looking for where to have dinner. You need to reserve your table with the reception ahead of time and some nights, there was no available table for us. On our first night we made do with pizza at their bar. Luckily, we found a pub behind Rhythm Wadano across the street. And on Christmas eve, we scored a table at Mimi's Restaurant next door. The nearest convenience stores were in the middle of "town", a good 20-30 minutes walk away (in the snow).

We had an amazing time at the Tokyu in Hakuba. Location is perfect for Happo One, the room was spacious and loved to have an Onsen at the end of a day skiing. The staff was excellent and very informative and organised a pick up from Hakuba station both on arrival and departure. At the hotel there is an automatic return for ski rental which was also very handy. The breakfast buffet was delicious and perfect for a day on the slopes. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we are keen to come back again other times. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel, we had a wonderful stay.
